Applications Sought for Natrella Scholarship
Applications for the 2011 Mary G. and Joseph Natrella Scholarship, which will support the participation of two students at the Quality and Productivity Research Conference, will be accepted until March 28. The conference will be held in Roanoke, Virginia, from June 8–10.
Scholarship recipients receive a $3,500 grant, $500 travel stipend, complimentary registration for the conference and conference short courses, and the opportunity to present their research at the conference. The scholarship is presented annually by the ASA Quality and Productivity Section to honor the careers of Mary G. Natrella—author of Experimental Statistics—and her husband, Joseph.
Application is open to full-time students pursuing a master’s or doctoral degree at an accredited college or university and who have a demonstrated interest in the application of statistics to quality and productivity.
