San Francisco Bay Area Chapter Volunteers Visit Schools

San Francisco Bay Area Chapter volunteers were invited by AP Statistics teachers to visit AP Statistics classrooms and give lectures about careers in statistics.

In May, for the third consecutive year, volunteers were invited to give lectures at Menlo Atherton High School. Heather Watson, from Exponent, Bart Burington from Geron, and Doug Okamoto and Chris Barker, both consultants gave lectures to several classes.

A teacher from Abraham Lincoln High School in San Francisco learned about the chapter and invited a volunteer to lecture about careers in statistics.
