The ASA’s extensive awards program recognizes statisticians who have made outstanding contributions through research, teaching, consulting, and service to the association and statistical profession. Likewise, ASA scholarships provide support for students studying statistics and related subjects. Through awards and scholarships, the Fellow Award, and student paper competitions, the ASA celebrates the achievements of individuals, government, business, and academia and increases the public’s general knowledge, understanding, and appreciation of the overwhelming benefits provided by statistics and statisticians worldwide.
