Nearly 50 current and prospective chapter members attended the conference from the University of Mississippi Medical Center, University of Mississippi, Mississippi State University, University of Alabama at Birmingham, and Auburn University. Eric Laber gave the keynote address.

The Alabama-Mississippi chapter hosted a mini-conference April 5 at The University of Mississippi.

The Alabama Chapter hosted a miniconference at Mississippi State University and there were several student presenters.

Approximately 25 ASA members attended a two-part event in April hosted by The University of Alabama ASA Student Chapter that included a seminar on sabermetrics (baseball statistics) and “A Night at the Ballpark” at the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa.

The Alabama Chapter hosted a mini-conference November 11 at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. Approximately 50 people attended, and ASA President Barry D. Nussbaum spoke.
