The Arizona Chapter held its ASA DataFest March 24–26—its first with in-person options since COVID began—and had a record 119 students enroll.

The Arizona Chapter held its third DataFest competition and first with all three public universities in the state participating. The event served to bring members into activity from an otherwise dormant year.

The Arizona Chapter completed its second annual ASA DataFest at Arizona State University/Tempe March 24. The event attracted 56 student online registrations, with 45 showing up at check-in.

The Arizona Chapter concluded its academic year of activities by supplying judges for the ASA’s Data Visualization Poster Competition for K–12 students.

The Arizona Chapter kicked off the academic year with a meeting at Arizona State University, where officers pitched the ASA’s DataFest to students and faculty.

More than 1,500 high-school students from 70 countries presented science projects at the Intel International Science and Engineering Fair in Phoenix, Arizona, from May 12–17.
