The Orange County Chapter will host the 2023 Annual Orange County Biostatistics Symposium September 29–30. The theme of the two-day symposium is “Innovative Designs in Expediting Drug and Device Development.”

The inaugural Orange County ASA biostatistics symposium was held May 3 on the Allergan campus in Irvine, California.

Statisticians from three southern California chapters—Southern California, Orange County/Long Beach, and San Diego—participated as judges in the 2017 Intel International Science and Engineering Fair.

The Orange County/Long Beach, San Diego, and Southern California chapters—three chapters in which the late Bob Newcomb played vital roles—sponsored a statistical tribute to him November 15, 2014, at the City of Hope Medical Center in Duarte, California.

The Southern California and Orange County/Long Beach chapters participated in the 2014 Intel International Science and Engineering Fair May 12–16 in Los Angeles.

The Orange County Long Beach Chapter held its first high-school AP Statistics competition June 1 at the University of California, Irvine.
