Thousands of statisticians from all corners of the world took part in the great democratization of statistics at the Joint Statistical Meetings in Washington, DC, this past summer. The Physical and Engineering Sciences Section was well-represented throughout the six days.

The ASA Section on Risk Analysis is soliciting entries for their Student Paper Competition. Each year, the section offers at least one student travel award of up to $1,000 to defray the cost of attending JSM.
