The section on Statistical Programmers and Analysts is now accepting nominations for its new award for innovations in statistical programming and analytics. Nominations are due by May 15.

The Section for Statistical Programmers and Analysts will participate in JSM 2014 in Boston with Continuing Education courses, roundtable discussions, and various oral and poster presentations of interest to statistical programmers and the general statistical community.

Section for Statistical Programmers and Analysts (SSPA) will be participating in this year’s JSM with Continuing Education courses, roundtable discussions, various oral and poster presentations, as well as multiple presentations on Big Data and how it is affecting the statistical profession.

The Section for Statistical Programmers and Analysts held its inaugural “Hindsight Is 20-20” poster competition during JSM 2011. The competition encouraged authors to present a poster highlighting a difficult programming obstacle and detailing the solution(s).

The Section for Statistical Programmers and Analysts’ program includes presentations and discussions focusing on R and SAS programming, Bayesian methodology, and CDISC, along with a variety of other topics of interest to statistical programmers.

The Section for Statistical Programmers and Analysts will host a programming advice booth at JSM 2010.
