ASA DataFest in Southern California Attracts Hundreds
The southern California region played host to two ASA DataFests this spring. The data consisted of GPS and accelerometer records from every game played in the previous season by the Canadian National Women’s Rugby 7 team, as well as data on daily training and medical reports.
Put the Data in DataFest
The ASA DataFest—held every spring at more than 40 colleges and universities around the world—brings together a community of undergraduate students, faculty, graduate students, and data professionals. But without the data, there is no DataFest, which is why Rob Gould is asking for help in finding data for future DataFests.
We Love Data Competitions
Students at Virginia Tech enjoy competing in the ASA DataFest every spring, so much so that they added another competition, which will take place in the fall.
