New Lecture Series Honors Legacy of Dionne Price
Starting in 2025, the Dionne Price Public Lecture will be a celebration of our profession, which informs decisions and drives discoveries, and will advance the mission of promoting the practice and profession of statistics. The series is supported by donations, which are used to pay for expenses associated with an annual lecture, including an honorarium and travel expenses for the lecturer, the venue, and livestreaming.

ASA President Wendy Martinez called to order the final regular meeting of the ASA Board on November 18. The board met via videoconference over a three-day period.

Thank You, 2016 Donors
In 2016, a total of just about $163,000 was raised in support of ASA programs, which is nearly 15% more than 2015’s total.
ASA’s Development Program Sets Another Record
The ASA received more than $115,000 from ASA members and other individuals and approximately $26,500 in corporate matching gifts and other support for a total of nearly $142,000. Additionally, John Bartko gave more than $25,000 to establish the John J. Bartko Scholarship. Thank you!
