Erickson was one of about 400 early-career federal scientists to be awarded a Presidential Early Career Award for Scientists and Engineers. Erickson is a research ecologist with the United States Geological Survey Upper Midwest Environmental Sciences Center.

Two NIH Leaders Honored with Griffith Mentoring Award
The ASA’s Government Statistics Section recently awarded the Jeanne E. Griffith Mentoring Award to two women from the National Institutes of Health: Nancy L. Geller, director of the Office of Biostatistics Research at the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute and Clarice R. Weinberg, principal investigator in the biostatistics and computational biology branch of the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences.
Two Take Home Ellis R. Ott Scholarship
The Ellis R. Ott Scholarship Governing Committee awards two $7,500 scholarships to promising master’s and PhD candidates pursuing degrees in statistics and related disciplines. This year, the honorees are Valeria Ovalle Ocampo and Luke Hagar.
