Proposals Sought for Late-Breaking JSM Sessions
JSM Program Committee members hold back two invited session slots for late-breaking talks. ASA members are encouraged to submit a proposal for one of these sessions by April 17.
Short Courses, Roundtables Prepared
The ASA recently chose the final set of short courses for JSM 2010, and, among those, the Section on Bayesian Statistical Science (SBSS) is sponsoring three.

2010 Travel Award Competition Open to Students
The Survey Research Methods Section (SRMS) will repeat its successful Student Travel Award Competition in 2010. This initiative encourages students to gain exposure to opportunities in survey research methods and become familiar with the section and its work.
Strategic Initiatives Grant Opportunity Available
The Biometrics Section is partnering with the Eastern North American Region of the International Biometric Society to fund three or four applications for projects that raise awareness of the biostatistics profession among high-school and college students. Of particular interest are projects encouraging students to pursue advanced training in biostatistics.
