The ASA Biometrics Section offers early-stage investigator awards and provides funding to support projects focused on enhancing awareness of biostatistics among quantitatively talented US students.

The section is particularly interested in projects that will encourage students to pursue advanced training in biostatistics.

The Biometrics Section will sponsor several topic-contributed and invited papers at this year’s JSM in Denver.

The Biometrics Section lists the JSM 2019 short courses it is cosponsoring.

The Chronic Kidney Disease Biomarkers Consortium is accepting applications to fund pilot and feasibility studies focused on the discovery, validation, or qualification of chronic kidney disease biomarkers. The deadline for preliminary applications is March 16.
