Cosponsored by the Nonparametric Section, the Graybill Conference on Modern Nonparametric Methods will be held in Fort Collins, Colorado, from June 22–24. The focus of the conference is on nonparametric and semiparametric modeling and functional estimation methods.

Included are a short course, two days of plenary presentations, a contributed poster session, and a banquet. Keynote speakers Jianqing Fan, David Ruppert, Ingrid Van Keilegom, and Jon Wellner will provide a range of talks, from general overviews of relevant statistical material to more specialized presentations on current developments. The focused, yet relaxed, nature of the conference will allow for concentrated discussion and interaction among participants.

To encourage students to participate, a student poster competition in which winners will receive travel support awards is ongoing. The deadline for submission of entries is March 31. To participate, submit an abstract of up to three pages in PDF format and a note from a faculty member attesting to your current student status. Email all information by March 31 to AbstractSubmissions@stat.colostate.edu with “Student Poster Competition – Graybill Conference” in the subject field.

The submission deadline for all other contributed posters is May 15.

The conference will be held at the Hilton Fort Collins, adjacent to Colorado State University and downtown Fort Collins. A block of rooms has been reserved for conference participants, and several shuttle services are available from Denver International Airport. Registration fees are $250 for the conference and $100 for the short course until June 1 and include the banquet and all lunches. For students, the registration fees are $125 for the conference and $75 for the short course.
