SIAM’s e-book program for libraries and institutions launched in January and has a rapidly growing number of licensees for its two access options: permanent access and annual subscription. If your library or employer is not connected to this collection of approximately 400 e-books, which includes the ASA-SIAM Series on Statistics and Applied Probability and other statistics titles from SIAM, encourage them to get onboard. Prices will increase for all access plans in 2012, and your institution could save up to $2,500 by taking advantage of 2011 pricing while it is still available.
With the e-book program for institutions in place, SIAM is now working toward making its e-books available for individual readers to purchase and download. Look for updates in the coming months.
Instructors who adopt any book from the ASA-SIAM series or another SIAM book series as a required text for their course can get a discount code that will grant their students 20% off the list price when students purchase the book directly from SIAM.
