HPSS Announces JSM Events
The Health Policy Statistics Section announce its program for the 2011 Joint Statistical Meetings in Miami Beach, Florida. A packed program covers a range of topics in health policy research and applications, as HPSS is the primary sponsor for one short course, four invited sessions, five topic-contributed sessions, and six contributed sessions.
‘Personalized Medicine’ Featured at JSM, AAAS Annual Meetings
As representative from the ASA to AAAS in biological sciences, ASA life member Turkan Gardenier organized “Evolutionary Personalized Medicine,” a symposium assigned to the Human Biology and Health track of the 2011 Annual Meetings of the American Association for the Advancement of Science, held in Washington, DC, in February. A follow-up will be held on August 3 in Miami Beach, Florida, with the panel titled “Personalized Medicine and Convergence: Prospects for Statisticians.”
