Practical Significance celebrates the kick-off of its second season, and we thank our listeners for their continued support of this endeavor! In 2021, we featured a diverse and engaging lineup of ASA members who shared their passions, professional initiatives, and aspirations—a deep dive into the work they love and where it’s taken them. And that mission continues!
For the January edition, co-hosts Donna and Ron welcome to the show 2022 ASA President Kathy Ensor, who shares a peek into her “day job” as the Noah G. Harding Professor of Statistics in the George R. Brown School of Engineering at Rice University.
Looking forward to the year ahead, she shares her goals and initiatives for her tenure as president—the challenges and opportunities. Kathy continues to contribute her passion and service to the public good, particularly in community analytics, and offers her advice for members who’d like to become more involved in that area. With a full plate, she also reveals what she enjoys during the off hours.
Listen to this special episode and get to know Kathy, who’ll be leading the association this year. And don’t miss Ron’s traditional “Top 10,” as he offers up the top 10 “Unsuccessful New Year’s Resolutions.”
