The Emory University Department of Biostatistics and Bioinformatics celebrated its 50th anniversary in October with a special reunion on campus.

Malcolm Turner, from the Medical College of Virginia, was the first chair of what was the department of statistics and biometry. Outside the medical school, the department was known as statistics and located in the Uppergate House, known to be haunted. To learn more about the department, download a brief history.
