Council of Professional Associations on Federal Statistics (COPAFS) acts as the advocate for the development and dissemination of high-quality federal statistics. Member organizations include professional associations, businesses, research institutes, and others interested in federal statistics. Through COPAFS, members have an opportunity to review and have an effect on issues including timeliness, quality, confidentiality, and relevance of data. COPAFS holds quarterly meetings, the last one being on June 1, 2012. Read on to learn what took place.

COPAFS is the Council of Professional Associations on Federal Statistics and comprised of the membership of 60 organizations, including professional organizations, businesses, research institutes, and others interested in federal statistics. As a member of COPAFS, the ASA has two representatives from the Government Statistics Section who attend the quarterly COPAFS meetings and report back to the ASA membership.
