The Statistics in Epidemiology (SIE) Section would like to congratulate Mitchell Gail of the National Cancer Institute for winning the 2011 Nathan Mantel Lifetime Achievement Award for his lifetime contributions to the intersection of statistical science and epidemiology. Congratulations also go to the following winners of the 2011 SIE Young Investigator Award: Jennifer Feder Bobb, Tamar Sofer, Jessica Myers, Ying Guo, Jun Li, Thomas Birkner, Nicole Bohme Carnegie, Matthew White, Farid Jamshidian, Karen McKeown, Arpita Ghosh, and Aasthaa Bansal.

The section seeks nominations for the Nathan Mantel Award, applications for the Young Investigator Award, and abstracts for JSM 2011 topic-contributed sessions.
