The San Antonio Chapter sent judges to the 2017 Alamo Regional Science and Engineering Fair–they chose those senior division projects that showed excellence in the use of statistical methods.

The San Antonio Chapter hosted Statistics Career Day March 5 to emphasize the significance of statistical and quantitative education in any career path, as well as raise awareness regarding statistics as a rewarding profession.

The 2015 Don Owen Award, given by the ASA San Antonio Chapter, was presented to Nitis Mukhopdhyay by chapter president Jesus Cuellar Fuentes April 10 at the Conference of Texas Statisticians.
