The Biometrics Section invites members to the upcoming Eastern North American Region (ENAR) Spring Meeting March 20–23, 2011, in Miami, Florida. Also, proposals for topic-contributed talks are being collected for JSM 2011. Finally, applications are being accepted for the 2011 David P. Byar Young Investigator Award.

Byar Award Winners Announced
X. Jessie Jeng of the University of Pennsylvania was chosen as this year’s winner of the David P. Byar Young Investigator Award for “Optimal Sparse Segment Identification with Application in Copy Number Variation Analysis.” Jeng received $1,500 and a plaque.
