On November 21, ASA Giving Day, we will celebrate the vital role statistics, data science, and AI play in shaping our world. This year’s theme—Enriching Society Through Statistics, Data Science, and AI: Supporting the People, the Practice, and the Profession—reflects the American Statistical Association’s deep commitment to ensuring these fields not only advance knowledge but also serve society. Giving Day gifts make a powerful impact. Donations directly support initiatives that do the following:

Mark your calendar for November 21 and be part of ASA Giving Day 2025. Together, we can ensure statistics, data science, and AI continue to enrich society—today and for generations to come.

  • Improve statistics education by providing K–16 teachers with classroom resources, professional development, and a supportive community—while sparking students’ interest in pursuing careers in statistics and data science.
  • Advocate for sound policy decisions by raising the national profile of statistics, representing members’ interests, and equipping policymakers with the resources they need to strengthen the practice and profession of statistics and data science.
  • Showcase the impact of statisticians and data scientists through outreach efforts that communicate the importance of data-informed decision-making in everyday life.
  • Grow the next generation of leaders by funding mentoring programs, scholarships, travel grants, leadership training, and career development opportunities.

Every contribution on Giving Day fuels the people, the practice, and the profession that enrich society. Whether you give to strengthen education, expand advocacy, or empower future leaders, you are helping build a vibrant future for statistics and data science.

And Giving Day isn’t just about giving; it’s about celebrating together as a community. Join our Early Bird, Afternoon Energizer, and Donate & Share contests for chances to win prizes, from T-shirts to swag bags.

You can also show your ASA pride by taking part in the following:

  • Chapter Challenge – Select your chapter when you donate to help it climb the leaderboard. Each gift equals one entry for your chapter to win, with one chapter winner drawn in each region. The more members who give, the better the chapter’s odds!
  • Section Showdown – For the first time, ASA sections will compete for Giving Day glory. The section with the highest percentage of members giving will be crowned MVP and receive a $500 JSM mixer voucher, while an honorable mention will receive a $250 voucher.

Get details about contests, prizes, and how to get involved.
