ASA Mentoring: An Update
While mentoring frequently happens organically, our association—along with its chapters and sections—offers a wide array of mentorship opportunities for both mentors and mentees and provides members with a way to honor outstanding mentors.
Jeanne E. Griffith Mentoring Award
The Jeanne E. Griffith Mentoring Award recognizes and encourages the mentoring of junior staff in the statistical community in federal, state, or local government. It is awarded annually to a supervisor, technical director, team coordinator, or other statistical staff member who is nominated by a supervisor and co-workers for his or her efforts in supporting the work and developing the careers of junior staff. Nominations for the 2019 award will be accepted until March 22.
2018 JSM Diversity Mentoring Program: Why Mentoring Matters
The JSM Diversity Mentoring Program encourages and fosters the development of mentoring relationships and networking for historically under-represented minority graduate students, postdoctoral scholars, and early-career professionals with more senior-level statisticians/biostatisticians from academia, government, and industry.
