In honor of Women’s History Month, we are once again celebrating ASA women who work in statistics and data science. These 11 accomplished women were chosen because they are leaders and mentors to many in their field.

The University of Chicago, New York University, and University of Maryland are launching a short-term, five-session program targeted at government agency staff and policy evaluators and researchers.

Big Data has the potential to fundamentally change the way federal statistics are produced and disseminated. If statistical agencies are to retain their unique role as the trusted source of statistics, they must reconsider the way data are being generated and used. Fortunately, statisticians are responding to this call to action.
