The ASA Statistics in Epidemiology Section has announced Nicholas Jewell as this year’s Nathan Mantel Award winner. The annual award recognizes contributions to the development and application of statistical science to problems and issues in epidemiology.

The Nathan Mantel Award consists of $1,000 and a plaque and will be presented at the 2015 Joint Statistical Meetings in Seattle, Washington, in August.
