Statisticians Tell of COVID-19 Effects Around the World
The ASA Committee on International Relations in Statistics interviewed several ASA Educational Ambassadors to understand the unique effects the COVID-19 pandemic has had on the academic, professional, and personal lives of statisticians in various countries.
2019 Educational Ambassadors from Nepal, Mexico Attend JSM
The Educational Ambassador Program is an ASA outreach effort launched by the late Martha Aliaga and the Committee on International Relations in Statistics to foster international collaboration and enhance statistics education worldwide. The program subsidizes two ambassadors from developing countries to attend JSM and take CE courses. It also provides a one-year ASA membership.
International Study Program Offers Mathematical Sciences with Dose of Culture
Mathematical Sciences Semesters in Guanajuato allows international students with a strong grounding in mathematics who want to increase their knowledge of data science, modeling, and partial differential equations to study at CIMAT, one of Mexico’s leading research centers.
