With all the judging and interaction with students for the 2021 International Science and Engineering Fair virtual, the ASA Council of Chapters had to overcome some challenges, like how to offer 100 students their choice of a book when they were located around the world and the books were in an office in Southern California.

2019 Educational Ambassadors from Nepal, Mexico Attend JSM
The Educational Ambassador Program is an ASA outreach effort launched by the late Martha Aliaga and the Committee on International Relations in Statistics to foster international collaboration and enhance statistics education worldwide. The program subsidizes two ambassadors from developing countries to attend JSM and take CE courses. It also provides a one-year ASA membership.
Biometrics Section Invites Applications for Funding to Support Projects
The ASA Biometrics Section invites applications for funding to support projects developing innovative outreach projects focused on enhancing awareness of biostatistics among quantitatively talented US students. They’re particularly interested in projects encouraging students to pursue advanced training in biostatistics.

Pittsburgh Chapter Judges 2018 Intel International Science and Engineering Fair
Statisticians from the Pittsburgh Chapter participated as judges in the 2018 Intel International Science and Engineering Fair this past May and were impressed by the depth of research methods and approaches the students applied to problems across specialties like medicine, energy, materials sciences, plant sciences, molecular biology, and computational biology.
