Nearly 100 ASA San Francisco Bay Area Chapter (SFASA) members gathered for an event that included keynote presentations, a panel discussion, sponsor presentations, and networking opportunities.

The chapter’s Senior Statistician Award was given to Alyson Wilson and Steve Marron on December 6, 2019.

The Bay Area Biotech-Pharma Statistics Workshop provided statisticians, data scientists, and other colleagues with a venue to connect, learn, and grow.

Numbers and Networking took place at a brew pub in the Detroit suburbs, providing a change of pace from the usual chapter meetings in a conference room with a presenter. Members were invited to meet their fellow Detroit-area statisticians, data scientists, analysts, and programmers.

The event allowed local statisticians a chance to gather, mingle, and learn about the statistical work being done by fellow statisticians in North Carolina.

The North Carolina Chapter held a mini-workshop, titled “LinkedIn and Your Professional Presence on Social Media” at SAMSI.

An active chapter, WSS offers opportunities for statisticians and data scientists to learn, socialize, and serve.

The Detroit and Ann Arbor chapters recognized students and their teachers at two schools to celebrate their Michigan Statistics Poster Competition awards.

The New Jersey Chapter held its 40th Spring Symposium at Rutgers RWJ Medical School June 28. The theme of the symposium was Clinical Trials for Rare Diseases and Pediatric Populations: Challenges in Design and Analysis.
