Stats Program Highlighted in US Airways Magazine

In the July issue of US Airways magazine, the article profiling Roanoke, Virginia, “Key to the City of Roanoke,” highlighted a new statistical program soon to be unveiled at Roanoke College in Salem. This new introductory-level statistics class will use statistical analysis to “examine the effect of gun control on mortality rates, analyze the latest health fads, or even predict the weather.” According to the article, Roanoke is one of the only colleges in the nation to offer this approach to core curriculum.
