Invited session proposals are being accepted for the 2016 Joint Statistical Meetings, which will be held July 30 to August 4 in Chicago, Illinois. If you have an idea for one, send your ideas/proposals to the section’s program chair, Daniel Gillen, at dgillen@uci.edu by September 4.
In the proposal, provide the following:
- Session Title
- Session Description
- Short description of the session that explains why it would be of interest to statisticians interested in epidemiologic applications.
- List of invited speakers/panelists (affiliation, email address for each participant, and tentative title for each presentation). Please indicate if speakers have been confirmed and will be attending JSM 2016.
- Format of session (e.g., paper or panel, number of speakers/discussants/panelists as applicable).
- Session organizer (affiliation, email address).
- Session chair (affiliation, email address).
- Discussant (if any) (affiliation, email address).
In previous years, sessions with complete information had a greater likelihood of acceptance.
