Since its inception nearly 30 years ago, the ASA Founders Award—our association’s top award for service—has been presented behind a veil of secrecy. That is, no notice of or to the recipients was given and the recipients’ pictures did not appear in the JSM Awards Booklet until the following year. Members of the Founders Award Committee have concluded this practice is not particularly helpful and does not provide JSM attendees, family, and friends the appropriate opportunity to congratulate new Founders.
Therefore, we’d like to announce the 2018 Founders Award recipients: Marie Davidian, Alicia Carriquiry, and Dan Kasprzyk. We hope you will join us at the 2018 President’s Address and Founders & Fellows Recognition Tuesday, July 31, in Vancouver to recognize these outstanding individuals!
