The Army Wilks Memorial Award, which recognizes an individual who has made substantial contributions to research and/or the application of statistical methodology affecting the practice of statistics in the Army, is open for nominations.

The award was established in 1981 to commemorate the career of Samuel S. Wilks and his dedication to the solution of analytical problems for the Army.

Nominations are due February 15 and must include the following:

  • Curriculum vitae
  • Letter of nomination detailing service to the Army
  • One additional supporting letter (optional)

Submit nomination packages and any questions to Nick Clark.

The award will be presented at the 2024 Defense and Aerospace Test and Analysis Workshop, to be held April 16–18 at the Institute for Defense Analyses in Alexandria, Virginia.
