Submit JSM 2027 Session Proposals and Apply for SRMS Student Travel Awards

September 1, 2026 Leave a Comment

James Wagner and Daifeng Han

The Survey Research Methods Section welcomes submissions for invited sessions and applications for student travel awards for the 2027 Joint Statistical Meetings.

Submissions for invited sessions will be accepted until September 23. SRMS members submitting an invited session proposal who want to have SRMS as the sponsoring section must select SRMS at the time of submission. Typical formats for invited sessions are 2–6 participants, including the chair. This could take the form of 2–3 speakers with a discussant or a panel discussion with 3–5 panelists.

Students enrolled in any terminal degree program (bachelor’s, master’s, or doctoral) in survey methodology or related survey research disciplines are eligible to apply for travel awards. Preference will be given to students who are presenting a paper or poster at JSM.
