The Committee of Presidents of Statistical Societies selected these eight Leadership Academy winners. All awards will be presented at the Joint Statistical Meetings.

The International Conference on Health Policy Statistics was held January 9–11 in Scottsdale, Arizona, bringing together practitioners, methodologists, health service researchers, health economists, and policy analysts.

Two invited session slots have been set aside for late-breaking topics, and any member of one of the Joint Statistical Meetings sponsoring organizations or partnering societies can propose such a session. Submissions are due April 17.

The program committee invites you to submit a proposal for an invited paper session from March 1 – May 15.

The Statistical Partnerships Among Academe, Industry, and Government Award annually recognizes outstanding partnerships among academe, industry, and government organizations and aims to promote new cross-sector collaborations. This distinct ASA award emphasizes recognition of outstanding collaborations between organizations, while also recognizing key individual contributors and important advances.

Daniela Witten is a professor of statistics and biostatistics at the University of Washington and the Dorothy Gilford Endowed Chair in Mathematical Statistics. She develops statistical machine learning methods for high-dimensional data.
