Mary Batcher to Become Chair of NISS Board of Trustees
Mary Batcher of Ernst and Young will become chair of the National Institute of Statistical Sciences Board of Trustees July 1, 2015. Robert Rodriguez of SAS Institute has been named vice chair.
Section Welcomes Members, Nominations, JSM Contributed Abstracts
The ASA Section on Statistics and the Environment (ENVR) welcomes new members and encourages anyone interested in environmental problems to join. ENVR also is seeking nominations for their Distinguished Achievement Award and abstracts for JSM contributed papers.

J. D. Williams, 2011 chair of the Quality and Productivity Section, looks forward to 2011 activities, including awarding the Mary G. and Joseph Natrella Scholarship and attending the annual Fall Technical Conference. Also, the section will offer up to five travel awards of $400 for students enrolled in a graduate program with a concentration in applied statistics and/or quality management.
