Q&P Invites All to Fall Technical Conference
This year’s Fall Technical Conference will take place in Kansas City, Missouri, from October 12–15. The conference, themed “Quality and Statistics: Getting Up to Date,” is a premier forum in which to discuss topics at the interface of statistics and quality, leading to a more effective use of statistics to improve quality.
Applications Sought for Natrella Scholarship
Applications for the 2011 Mary G. and Joseph Natrella Scholarship, which will support the participation of two students at the Quality and Productivity Research Conference, will be accepted until March 28.
Student Competition: Can You Improve a Process?
The Section on Quality and Productivity (Q&P) is pleased to announce a student team competition. The goal of the contest is to enhance the statistical expertise of students who are interested in a challenge and want to apply their training in statistical thinking and process improvement to a realistic situation. Students who compete will have the opportunity to develop their statistical talents and increase their marketability in the work force.
