The National Center for Education Statistics celebrated its 150th anniversary on November 15, 2017. The event featured two congressional speakers and other notable commentators. It also drew an overflow audience of more than 100 to the Dirksen Senate Building and more than 200 livestream viewers.

Statistical Education Section Has Productive JSM
The Statistical Education Section had a very productive JSM 2014 under Program Chair Ming-Wen An, sponsoring or co-sponsoring six invited panels/sessions, seven topic-contributed panels/sessions, eight contributed paper sessions, one poster session, and 13 roundtables. Erin Blankenship will chair the section’s 2015 JSM program.
