This year’s Fall Technical Conference will take place in Kansas City, Missouri, from October 12–15. The conference, themed “Quality and Statistics: Getting Up to Date,” is a premier forum in which to discuss topics at the interface of statistics and quality, leading to a more effective use of statistics to improve quality.

JSM Short Courses, Other Meetings Opportunities Announced
The Biometrics Section will sponsor two short courses during JSM 2011. The section also is looking for ideas for JSM 2012 and ENAR 2012.
Graybill 2011 Conference Scheduled for June
Cosponsored by the Nonparametric Section, the Graybill Conference on Modern Nonparametric Methods will be held in Fort Collins, Colorado, from June 22–24. The focus of the conference is on nonparametric and semiparametric modeling and functional estimation methods.
Using X-13ARIMA-SEATS
The Business and Economic Statistics Section will hold a short course on using X-13ARIMA-SEATS. The course will alternate between theory and practice and include time for participants to use and explore the software with guidance from the instructors.
